But their market reach stayed the same. This was when they started investing strongly into household electrical appliances. Panasonic Washing Machines & Dryers, although not Panasonic yet, hit the markets in 1951.
1970's through 80's saw them go through and an innovation spree in the form of audio record players. The quintessential CD template around today is an innovation which comes from their house.
It was in 1979 that they first used the Panasonic brand name for their television sets. Selling strong in the North American markets, Panasonic soon became one of the leading names around across household appliances. They continued to expand their market reach, including India.
