Xiaomi Mi Note 3 could launch in August
The Mi Note 2 was a huge success for Chinese company Xiaomi, which is why the release of the Mi Note 3 has been highly anticipated ever since the first rumour about the device surfaced on the internet. Here's a breakdown of everything we know about the upcoming Chinese made phablet.
Recent reports have gotten Xiaomi's fans on edge. According to them, the much-awaited latest iteration of the Mi Note line-up could be launched as soon as this month or the next in China. As we recall, its predecessor, the Mi Note 2 was launched in November of 2016, which is why we were pleasantly surprised that the Mi Note 3 will launch this early in the year.
Although Xiaomi remained quiet about the Mi Note 3 and its specs, luckily for us, rumours and renders were still lurking in the nooks of the rumour mill. The specs we could expect from the Mi Note 3 is 5.7-inch QHD dual-curved AMOLED display with an eye-piercing resolution of 2560x1440 pixels, interestingly enough, the rumours claim that these display panels were ordered from Samsung.
Furthermore, the device is reported to sport different processors depending on the variant you choose. The budget-friendly one will be powered by a Snapdragon 821 chipset, while the larger and pricier one will sport a Snapdragon 835 SoC. As for storage, the two variants to choose from are 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage, while the other has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The device is said to pack a high-endurance 4,070mAh battery pack with Qualcomm's Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging technology. Aside from that, the Mi Note 3 will come out of the box with Android version 7.1.1 Nougat and MIUI 9.
The camera department of the device, on the other hand, is set to boast dual-rear cameras, while the resolution and front-cameras remain in the dark for now. As for the price, if made available in India, the low-end version of the device could cost around 38,000 INR, and 45,000 INR for the high-end variant. We're currently waiting for availability confirmation, so stay tuned for updates.
