About HTC One
In 2007, HTC a Taiwanese manufacturer of smartphone and tablet was established, the brand made a name targeting high-end and mid-range markets with their premium design and high end features.
History of HTC One series
The HTC One series had a downfall in 2012, customers weren’t satisfied with the models released that year which are the One V (entry level), SV (mid-range) and the One X (High-end). In order to overcome the situation, HTC focused on 3 versions of the One Series for the following year, those are the HTC One M7 released in February, HTC One Mini released in July and the HTC One Max released in October. The HTC One M7 got the highest sales among the three.
The models that were released in 2014 are the HTC One Mini, One E8, J Butterfly, M8 Eye and the HTC One M8. The M8 was the only device available in 2 different platforms either on Android 4.4.2 KitKat or on Windows 8.1. The latest model released in 2015 in the One series line-up is the HTC One M9 that runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

HTC is one of several smartphone manufacturers to enter the Indian smartphone market in 2007. Since then, they have become one of the top 10 mobile sellers in the country. By catering to the low-end, mid-range and high-end smartphone segments, they have gained a sizeable share of the market today. Among all the models the most popular models are HTC One E8/(Ace), M8, M8s, M9, M9 Plus, M7, and E9+.
Design of HTC One series
The HTC One series are well known for its metal body feature and curvy edges all in all its one of the most elegantly crafted designed phones ever made. You can expect screen sizes of 5.0 inch and above with Super LCD3 multi touch displays. The screens also come with Corning Gorilla Glass protection that prevents smudges and scratches. These devices are available in unique plethora of ultra rich colours such as Gunmetal Grey, Glacial Silver and Amber Gold.
Features of HTC One series
Generally, the HTC One series smartphones run on Android version 4.0 or higher, mostly run on Android 4.4 KitKat or Android 5.0/5.1 Lollipop OS. The devices are powered with MediaTek’s premium Helio chipset through a 64 bit octa-core processor or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipsets with quad-core/octa-core processors. GPU on the other hand is an Adreno graphics series available in 1GB, 2GB or 3GB of RAM depending on the model.
They usually come in 16GB and 32GB of in-built memory. Besides, they can be expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card. The smartphones offer dual SIM support and features such as geo tagging, dual-tone flash and stereo sound recording. Internal memory is either 16GB or 18GB, Some models features an external memory slot where memory can be expanded up to 128B with a microSD card and dual SIM support. Though specs per model varies these are all of the One Series camera features, it can support HDR and video recording of 1080p at 30fp or record full HD videos at 60fps and 120fps. They even provide premium features such as f/2.0 aperture, face and smile detection and BSI. There are 4MP, 5MP, 20MP and 20.7MP autofocus back camera with an LED flash and a 4MP, 5MP and 13MP wide angled front camera. Some of these phones are also known to offer Ultra Pixel cameras.
The HTC One series supports 3G, 4G LTE Cat4, MHL, Wi-Fi networks and for connectivity, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS with A-GPS, microUSB 2.0, UB OTG, TV-Out, GLONASS, infrared and NFC. The HTC One series generally use a 2600mAh and higher Li-Po battery.
Most of the devices offer latest features, such as dual front stereo speakers with HTC BoomSound and Dolby Audio technologies, Split Capture mode, HTC Sense UI, Eye Experience for selfies, Ultra Pixel technology and integrated single touch fingerprint sensor.
