About Celkon Millennia
Aiming to make inroads into the booming smartphone market in India, Celkon mobile phones aim to present the next-generation of smart mobiles at consumer friendly rates! Despite being a fairly new brand, the company is making rapid strides towards achieving prominence not just in India but in global arcades as well.
Celkon Mobile Phones 'Ruling the Change' for both Indian and Global End-users
Simply put, today's smart and fast forward generation loves intuitive smartphones. This gets reinstated with the fact that last year, sales figures grew by a staggering 44%. In such a lucrative market, Celkon aims to acquire a substantial share from it along with some of the big names in the venture.
With Celkon mobile phones experiencing impressive sales to date, the company does seem to take the right steps in making its own name amongst both the Indian and global mass market.
An Overview of Its History
This company was set up in 2009 by Y Guru at Telangana Hyderabad. It held a clear vision of delivering newer and better smart handsets to both Indian and world-wide end-users.
Owing to its fresh technologies, user-friendly features and cost-effectiveness, Celkon mobile phones first started assembling in Taiwan, China. However, later on attaining a fair bit of success, they shifted their production units in India.
They are amongst the very companies in India who promise to deliver almost 200,000 handsets in a month. They backed their claims by fulfilling it not once but many times over the course of their existence.
Their Founder's aim – "Eliminating Digital Divide and enabling connectivity between people by bringing about change and ruling that change."
Market Reach and Retail Stores
In the present scenario, Celkon stands as the 6th largest smartphone manufacturers in India. They are spearheaded by their research and design team in Shenzhen China. Working in tandem with their Indian engineers; the company aims to set a new benchmark. In pursuit for a resounding Indian market footprint, the company consists of over 600 customer care centres categorizing them as L1, L2 and L3.
With close to 600 workers across the sphere, the company also holds collaboration with big mobile retailers namely Sangeetha and BIG C to achieve their set agendas. Their strategic associates include big names such as Microsoft, Google, Gameloft and more.
On an international scale, the company also wants to make Celkon mobiles available off-shore. Their target areas feature few ASEAN regions such as Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh and Singapore. Plus, they also look to gain recognition in EMEA regions namely Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana and RSA.
Acceptance of Celkon Mobiles
The sales report of Celkon mobile phones shows an impressive yield of Rs 326 crore in 2013 FY. Furthermore, claims were such that the company plans to treble it in the following FYs. Presently, the total revenue stands at $140 million. These stats clearly depict the kind of raging popularity Celkon smartphones have received amongst their end-users.
Manufacturers of Celkon mobile phones will be looking to retain its impressive market stature in their 2017 FY as well. Plans for more retail outlets and more expansion into global territories are sufficient proof of that. Their motto was 'Rule the Change' and they certainly are doing it well.
