The Micromax Bolt series of touchscreen smartphones are manufactured by Micromax, an Indian mobile handset and electronics company. This consumer electronics concern is headquartered at Gurgaon, Haryana and has been in the business since their foundation in 2000.
History of Micromax Bolt
The Bolt series of phones manufactured by Micromax is usually aimed at the entry level and low-end users in India and its other developing neighbours. The series first came into being with the launch of the Bolt A26 in January 2013. This was followed by a number of other releases, all of which followed throughout the year and also the following years.
In July 2015, Micromax released its last model in the Bolt series, the Bolt D303.

They come with a minimum 3.5 inch LCD display for low-end handsets and 4.5 inch or higher for its higher end models. These devices offer TFT and IPS resolution capacitive touchscreens. Features of Micromax Bolt series
The Micromax Bolt series phones are powered by Spreadtrum and MediaTek processors with ARM Cortex architecture and Mali GPU. Earlier phones came with a minimum 256MB of RAM, but the newer models sport 512MB. Also, the Bolt series come with enough internal memory which can be further extended to 32GB via a microSD card.
These phones offer dual camera support. In the low-end devices, the back camera is a minimum 1.3MP whereas the front camera is 0.3MP for video calling. For the higher end devices, a minimum 5MP back camera and a minimum 2MP front camera is available. Some models offer digital zoom and video shoots at 30fps.
The connectivity features offered are dual SIM 2G/3G, Bluetooth, USB Port, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, and FM radio. To support its features, depending on the model these phones are powered by a Li-ion battery with a minimum of 1200mAh.
The handsets offer up to 20 Indian regional languages. This multiple language support makes these phones extremely beneficial for the Indian handset users. Moreover, its ‘Swipe’ feature enables simple input as well. A number of preloaded apps on the devices are provided as well.
