SANSUI started its journey with manufacturing transformers in Tokyo. Within a little more than 10 years, they shifted their reputation into making audio components. After suffering immense competition from the market, SANSUI patented their a-x balanced circuit system. SANSUI occupied the Japanese market for high end amplifiers, and later they shifted to making home appliances like TV.
Venturing Asian and US markets:
SANSUI's amplifier and high end sound systems became a pioneer in the world market for a very long time. Technically their invention of surround sound Digital processing spread to US markets. Slowly they targeted Asian countries like China, Thailand and started operating as a stand-alone electrical manufacturing company.
By the beginning of 21st century, the manufacturer started operations in Georgia, Indonesia, Pakistan and the Philippines, etc. Not gaining much importance in Europe, SANSUI opened numerous dealerships in Kenya, Morocco and South Africa with aims to skyrocket their sales.
By 1997, SANSUI reached Indian shores, and within 10 years, it made its presence felt with annual sales of around 1 million Color Televisions. Home Theater systems, MP3 players, Speaker systems and very recently SANSUI mobile Phones have been able to appeal Indian customers.
