About Maxx Mobile Phones
Maxx Mobile Phones founded in 2004 has come a long way today in being one of the major players in the budget mobile segment. Not only does it offer affordable prices, but the brand also backs it up with great after-sales service.
Maxx Mobile Phones Offering Budget Handsets Spread Wings beyond Indian Territory
Maxx is an India company that was founded in 2004 under the leadership of Chairman and Managing Director, Ajay Agarwal. It specialises in the budget handset market and identifies affordability as the primary concern of Indian buyers.
Maxx mobile phones are a unique set of phones that are built and assembled from scratch in India. Their manufacturing plant is in Hardwar, Uttarakhand and they pride themselves in contributing to Prime Minister Modi's Make in India campaign.
The Maxx journey so far
In 2002, a young, boisterous Ajay Agarwal left the cocoon of his father's business and sought to open his own venture. He registered his own proprietorship in the name of Maxx Mobiles and Phone Accessories. The business plan was simple – to import foreign mobile phone batteries, stamp them with his brand name and thereafter, sell them to dealers in Mumbai.
He offered warranty on the batteries despite having to incur small temporary losses - a small price to pay for building a brand. The response was great and he started to build a capital.
By the beginning of 2004, Agarwal realised that he had enough savings to start his own manufacturing unit. He wasted no time in setting up the plant and hiring a team of employees to oversee the manufacturing. Slowly but steadily the business started to grow.
The next turning point in the company's fortune came in 2008 when they decided to import foreign mobile phones and sell them under the brand of Maxx Mobile Phones. Thereafter, it was only a matter of time before the company set up manufacturing and assembly of these phones within Indian shores, namely Hardwar in Uttarakhand.
The standing of Maxx Phones today
Today, the company has accumulated overall revenue that stands at about INR 34 crores. It caters to all consumer segments but focussing more on the lower to midrange level devices. They boast of 100+ mobile phone models ranging from push button and touchscreen devices to budget dual sim and higher-end Androids.
As the company considers after-sales pretty seriously, they presently have over 2000 service centres spread across the country. It is extremely popular in the budget segment and is fast becoming the go-to brand for most people looking for devices that don't pinch the pocket.
Available online and offline
Maxx mobile phones are available to purchase online on the brand's website or from e-commerce sites like Amazon and Flipkart. One can also purchase these from third party distributors having physical stores.
Apart from the mobile phones, they also deal in essential mobile accessories like chargers, power banks, screen protectors, etc.
Venturing into the oversees market
Only recently, Maxx mobile phones have started to venture into the oversees market as well. They supply phone batteries to various countries like Hong Kong, Africa, SAARC and the Middle East.
Overall, the company since its initiation has only grown from strength to strength and continues to chart new territories.
