About Acer Aspire

Acer Aspire

Acer Inc. which happens to be one among of the world’s largest PC manufactures is the creator of the Aspire series of desktops and notebooks. The series consists of both desktops and notebooks that focus on various business ends of the markets, and also Chromebooks, of late.

History of Acer Aspire

The Aspire series from Acer started in the market way back in 1999. Before this, Acer was known to have another series, which was named the Power series. However, the Aspire series was primarily brought about to replace the Power series and also became the company’s leading lineup of desktops and notebooks.

The Aspire 1151 was the first model in the lineup. Since then, Acer has gone on to release plenty of models under this series.

Popularity in India

Just as India is a steady market for smartphones at present, it has also been an increasingly important market for the likes of PCs and notebooks. In this regard, many international brands have forayed into the Indian markets as they find it pretty profitable.

The Acer Aspire line of notebooks has been right up there with the likes of Dell, HP, Lenovo, Sony Vaio, and more. With a wide array of models in the series that cater from entry level users to high-end ones, the Aspire series has truly found a sizeable market among Indian customers.

Design of the Acer Aspire

Aspire series of notebooks come in varying sizes. One can expect screen sizes that range from 10.1 inches to 17.3 inches. Again, the screen resolution too differs between models. Some models do have a Gorilla Glass protection, although this has been a development of late.

The notebooks do have a unibody design and come in varying colors. A few models also double up as hybrid tablet PC, with the keyboard having a detachable functionality and the screen being responsive to touch. On the whole, one can say that the Aspire lineup consists of notebooks that can be trusted for travels and regular usage, as they are tough in nature.

Features of Acer Aspire series

The Aspire lineup of notebooks and Chromebooks are powered by Intel or AMD processors. Generally, the lineups of processors that are used in these devices vary. Depending on the price, they may be running Core i processors, Atom, Pentium series ones, or even Celeron processors. So is the case with AMD powered devices as well. Accompanying the processor, one can expect RAM of various sizes, such as 1, 2, 4, and 8 GB. Storage is also something that offers a number of options, largely starting at 120GB and going up to 1TB.

As such, a huge number of configuration choices are available to buyers and gives them a better opportunity to pick a notebook as per their needs. The Aspire series also consists of a number of Ultrabook models that are usually smaller sized portable notebooks, but high on performance factors. Chromebooks running Google’s Chrome OS are also available.

Many of the models in the series come pre-loaded with DOS, Linux, Windows 7, 8/8.1, and even Windows 10 of late. With these, one can easily use and carry out regular tasks. Besides these, the Acer Aspire series of laptops does offer connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, a number of USB ports and more.

As for the batter on this series of notebooks, they have proven to be pretty good. On a single complete charge one can expect anything between 3-4 hours of normal usage.
