Hi Kishore,

Hope you are doing good!

You can easily disable Handoff on any iOS device by navigating to your Settings > General > Handoff & Suggested Apps. Tap the Handoff slider so it is OFF / WHITE.

Handoff allows you to begin a document or email on one iOS device and finish it on another enabled iOS device or your Mac. It is only supported on devices running iOS 8.0 or later that are connected to the same Wi-Fi signal with Bluetooth enabled.

Hope this information helped you.

May I know how to set up head gesture controls in iPad4?

Kc Prashanth

  • Kc Prashanth
  • 27, Sep 2016 / Good Answers : 1

Hi Kishore,

Hope you are doing good!

Apple added head gesture controls with the iOS 7 update as an accessibility feature that allows you to do exactly what it sounds like - control your iPad with head movements. When the feature is on, the iPad's camera will track your head and look for movements that indicate an action. For example, you could assign turning your head to the right to activate Siri.

To set up head gesture controls in iOS 8, head to Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Switch Control. Toggle Switch Control on and then tap Switches and Add New Switch to assign your gestures. Choose Camera as the source, then you can assign both left and right head movements.

Hope this information helped you.

May I know how to stop iPad screen rotation / lock the accelerometer?

Kc Prashanth

  • Kc Prashanth
  • 27, Sep 2016 / Good Answers : 1

Hi Kishore,

Hope you are doing good!

UPDATE: In iOS 7.0 Rotation Lock has been moved to the Control Center. To access Control Center, swipe up on your Home screen, then tap the padlock icon to enable Rotation Lock.

UPDATE: iOS 4.3 adds a Settings option to turn the mute button back into a rotation lock switch.

UPDATE: Apple has changed the rotation lock switch into a mute button with the iOS 4.2.1 update. To lock the screen orientation double-press the home button to bring up the multitasking dock. Swipe left to right on this dock until you see a gray box icon with a circular arrow inside. Tapping this icon will enable or disable rotation lock. When the orientation is locked a padlock image appears inside the icon.

In some cases the iPad screen will rotate to portrait or landscape orientation when you want it to stay fixed. To lock the screen rotation Apple has designed the iPad with a convenient button located on the side of the iPad.

Click the button on the top right of the iPad, just above the volume controls to toggle the accelerometer lock. This will tell the iPad if you want screen rotation on or off.

Hope this information helped you.

Prashanth

Why the peer-to-peer AirPlay doesn't work with iPad 4?

Kc Prashanth

  • Kc Prashanth
  • 27, Sep 2016 / Good Answers : 1

Hi Kishore,

Hope you are doing good!

Peer-to-peer AirPlay allows your friends or family to use their Mac or iOS device to connect to your Apple TV without having to connect to your Wi-Fi network. This only works on newer iOS devices and the 3rd generation Apple TV. Supported devices include the 4th and 5th generation iPod touch iPhone 5, 5c, 5s, 6, 6 Plus, iPad 4, iPad Air, iPad Air 2 and all three iPad mini models. iOS devices need to be running iOS 7.0 or later and all devices need Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on for peer-to-peer AirPlay to work.

Hope this information helped you.

The padlock icon on your status bar means that Rotation Lock has been enabled on your iPad. Rotation Lock causes your device to stay in portrait mode, regardless of how the iPad is being held. To disable this feature, swipe up from the bottom of the Home screen to bring up Control Center, then tap the padlock icon to turn off Rotation Lock.

Whether Smart phone and Tablet both are the same?

Kc Prashanth

  • Kc Prashanth
  • 27, Sep 2016 / Good Answers : 1

Hi Pragna,

Hope you are doing well !!

The screen size is the main differentiating aspect with the tablet having a substantially larger screen for better workspace view. This makes it convenient for professionals who work on the fly, but is less portable than a smart phone.

A smart phone is specifically designed to be a hand held device whereas a tablet is more like a device to be used keeping it on a table or on the lap and is usually carried in a bag or other casing

Hope it helps you.

Prashanth

Hi Kishore,

Hope you are doing good!

Yes a one year warranty. If there is any damage of any kind they ONLY offer you 50 - 60% off a new pair or you can pay to have them fixed. If you believe that it is a factory defect and it doesn't happen within the first week they won't believe you....make sure you buy the insurance.
