Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus leaks in a live image prior launch
Xiaomi is about to launch its newest devices, the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus, on a launch event which will happen today. A day prior the announcement, a live image of the two phones sitting side-by-side surfaced online.
You surely have already known by now that Xiaomi's latest Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus is about to get unveiled today, not unless you are living under a rock for quite some time. Before the two new devices set foot in the markets, we might as well discuss some leaked information once more. Yesterday, a live photo of the two phones sitting side-by-side surfaced in the Chinese microblogging site Weibo, which again, reaffirmed their existence and the fact that they will both have Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipsets as their powerhouse. Although we don't need more information regarding the handsets, we still have to send our thanks to the leaker behind the photograph.
Starting off with the Redmi 5, it sports a 5.7-inch FullView display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood, it features a Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. On the camera department, it comes with a 12-megapixel rear camera and a soft-LED flash for the front-facing snapper. It packs a 3,200 mAh battery which will keep the lights on for 13 days on standby. The Redmi 5 Plus, on the other hand, sports a larger 5.99-inch screen compared to the standard Redmi 5. The Redmi 5 Plus' display also comes with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Powering the device is a Snapdragon 625 chipset. Just like the Redmi 5, it arrives with a 12-megapixel camera sensor on the back and a soft-LED flash for the selfie shooter. A 4000 mAh battery on board takes care of the whole package, which offers a standby time of 17 days in a single charge.
