Xiaomi Redmi 5: Pricing, Specs, and Official Images Leaked
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi launched the Redmi 4 recently in the month of May this year and looks like it is ready to launch the upcoming Redmi series smartphone offering, the Redmi 5. The leaked official images of Xiaomi Redmi 5 recently surfaced online along with its full specs and pricing information.
Xiaomi's next-generation Redmi series smartphone, the Xiaomi Redmi 5, the successor to the Redmi 4, seems to be arriving sooner than we imagined.
The renders and official images of the Xiaomi Redmi 5 have been leaked on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo. It looks like the Xiaomi Redmi 5 will be released in two variants with different processors, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and Snapdragon 630. This is expected to be a hybrid dual SIM phone along with a sport metal unibody with a 5-inch full HD display having 1080x1920 pixels resolution.
The smartphone will be equipped with 3GB or 4GB RAM and 16GB/ 32GB/ 64GB of inbuilt storage which will be expandable upto 128GB through a microSD card. The operating system is said to be Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) based MIUI 9 giving it an edge in the market. The smartphone will possibly be featured with a 16MP rear camera and 5MP front camera along with PDAF and dual tone LED flash.
Xiaomi Redmi 5 will be powered by a 4,000mAh battery along with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The launch date would possibly be later in the year. The smartphone will come with an exclusive metal body and a rear mounted finger print scanner.
As for the pricing, the 3GB RAM/16GB ROM storage model costs CNY 859 (around Rs 8,139) while the 3GB RAM/32GB storage version carries the price tag of CNY 1,039 (around Rs 9,844), while the top variant with 4GB RAM/64GB ROM storage will be available for purchase for CNY 1,099 (around Rs 10,413).
Now, all that the fans and followers can do is to wait for an official statement from Xiaomi.
