Is it just a new phone? if it is then just hand it over the shop and have them check the buttons of your phone. If its already old then you need to go to some professional to have your phone check to see if screen needs to replaced already.

My Phone is not charging properly.Could anyone please assist?

Dear Dharma,

This charging problem occurs if the metallic surface inside the usb port and microusb charge are not making good contact. It can be due to dust accumulated in usb port.Switch off your mobile, remove battery and clean the area carefully and slowly and then try charging. If this not solving the problem then check the working condition of the USB cable used for charging and also the charging adapter.

If none of the above solution works then you may need to replace the battery.

Hope this information helped you.

Regards,
Prashanth

There are two possible problems why your smartphone is not charging: it could be your charger is not working properly, in which case you will have to try another one or the pins in your phone's charging port is either damage or misalign

Is this good enough as it is or should I still root it?

kabir

For my opinion my friend, just leave it as it is cause what I know from rooting phones it will just cause more problems with the phone, issues will start from the moment you root your phone. But maybe it just depends thats just my opinion.

If its necessary to do rooting why not do it. I mean its better to go to a professional to do it not just anybody to make sure there is no damage on your phone. There are a lot of professional who can do that and ask for more information about it.

I'm looking for a new smartphone, whats good about this model?

Its good battery life, right size and 2 SIM cards. Xiaomi recently has good name interms of quality, so if youre worried because its from China. I am telling you other wise my friend that makers like OPPO and Vivo are making money because they are good smartphones for the money. The only thing you should consider is the support center. Its safer to check if there is one near you.

Thank you my friend, As I am living in Arunachal Pradesh I only see on service center available. Actually it is near my place that’s why I think it is good. My only worries is if I should get a different smartphone since this mobile only runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow which is one generation older. I want to know if i can get a better deal for under Rs 10000? my budget is actually Rs 5000 but after seing that the Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime is the no.1 smartphone in Priceprice. i am intrigued if it is actually that good?

Hi Jumar, I am aslo from Arunachal Pradesh too and one thing I could say is the service center is good. But I want to clarify one thing. Yes the Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime is indeed the no.1 in this site's ranking, but see, this are viewers ranking and not necessarily the performance ranking of the device. I suggest you buy a Samsung Galaxy J series instead.

Yes, Stacey is correct in relation to the ranking. But first going back to Jumar's question about the OS. Every Android phone gets 1 upgrade, meaning you can upgrade this one to Android 7.0 Nougat, just check if its available since I am not familiar about the schedule of its release for this model. Next is, i disagree of picking a Samsung phone instead. I am not saying that it is bad, but Chinese brands have been in the rise for a reason. and that is quality for the price. Also i dont think any model can match to the Redmi 3S Prime's battery. very long lasting.

I just think that Samsung is better because of its over all performance and not in India alone. The Galaxy J series is a very good budget phone. Even the 2016 models are good for their specs. Good price, Good Camera and Good display too. Samsung makes their own display so there is not question on this point about its quality.

I was reading reviews about its display and many are satisfied with its quality. I don’t know why you would put its display into question? Also the specs I believe is enough for the phone, 3GB RAM is plenty enough and with its mid-range processor I think that although it may not be powerful enough. it will be just right to keep the battery power to a minimum.

So Jumar, I think you already answered your own question on "Whats good about this?". There are many phones in the market many specs and level. But at the very end. What matters is the users needs and wants. No matter how someone tells you something, you do your own research because you are interested. and that enough is a good reason to try the phone :-D

in my opinion, RedMi phones are not impressive I will still stick with Samsung if you have good budget I would say go with a good cellphone instead, pricey but with good quality so your money will be spent in good and will not be a waste

Its cheaper than most branded smartphones yet performs as good as them, and as I can see with its specs, it has good battery lifespan. To be honest, I haven't owned or test any Xiaomi phones but I have seen one and as the owner told me, the screens response time is fast and lags very rarely which made it a good buy

What are the many-sided quality between Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime like RAM, ROM and Fingerprint Sensor?

Genri

  • 25, Jul 2017

Redmi 3S come with 2GB RAM while the Redmi 3s Prime 3GB RAM this alone for me says it all which of the both can do more multitasking work than the other. Although based on regular use I would say that 2GB is sufficient.

But more RAM allows the phone to open more apps and to run things compared to lower amount of RAM meaning less application can be opened at the same time. 16GB ROM and 32GB ROM is also one thing to point out in this topic I believe.

Redmi 3S Prime wins interms of storage because it comes with dual SIM slot that can also be used an external storage for more files and stuffs. I don’t know why phone makers now a days doesn’t feature a microSD slot on their phones.

Well since the applications cannot be moved to the microSD card, you are better of with the 3S Prime on this. In contrast to the 3S the 3S Prime also features a finger print scanner. Although most people I know doesn't use this feature LOL

All in all, the phone are the same in every way. The only difference are the ones you guys mentioned like the RAM, ROM, external storage and finger print scanner. It comes with the same processor and same cameras.

But having more RAM more ROM and a fingerprint scanner for me is justifiable in this case. Having a fingerprint scanner means you get more secure protection compared to the regular lock screen feature.

i'd rather go with the 3S solely because of the fact that I don’t want to spend the same Rs 9000 on a phone that performs with the same performance. Id rather go with the note 4 instead. But If I had to chose id go for the 3s
