Red Xiaomi Mi 5X looks stunning in a bunch of promotional images
Xiaomi's mid-range device offering, the Mi 5X, recently receives a new paint job. The resulting product, the red Mi 5X, comes with black front cover paired with a red back panel, and now stars in a bunch of promotional images.
If you can still remember, Xiaomi unveiled the mid-range smartphone Mi 5X, in China back in July. Last August, the Chinese phone manufacturer revealed its plans to give the Mi 5X a new paint job, after being initially available in Black, Gold, and Rose Gold color variants. As a fulfillment of that promise, Xiaomi launched a red-colored Mi 5X a couple of weeks ago. Although the company seems secretive regarding the newly-launched phone, it recently released a bunch of promotional images for our eyes to feast on, hinting that the new variant will start hitting the market shelves soon.
As what we can see in the images, the Xiaomi Mi 5X looks stunning in red. Unlike the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (PRODUCT) RED which arrived with white front panels, the red Mi 5X sports a black front cover paired with the red-hued rear panel. The horizontally-positioned dual rear camera setup is also black, which made it stand out from the red paint. Apart from the change in color, the new model retains all of the specifications from the standard variant.
For instance, the red Mi 5X still sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Powering the handset is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 4 GB of RAM. It comes with either 32 GB or 64 GB of built-in memory storage. On the camera department, it features a dual 12-megapixel camera configuration on the back side and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter up front. As for the platform, it runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat out-of-the-box but is said to receive the latest Android Oreo before the end of this year. There's a 3080 mAh battery on board to keep the lights on.
The red-colored Mi 5X also comes with the same price tag as the regular one which is CNY 1499 (INR 14,800). It is interesting that Xiaomi tries out different colors for its gadgets. What can you say about it?
