Samsung really did an amazing job with the Samsung Galaxy S8. The phone garnered rave reviews not only for its technical capabilities, but also for its beautiful design. Xiaomi may have popularized the no-bezel phone with the Mi MIX, but you could arguably say the Galaxy S8 perfected it. And now, Samsung is showing off the most stunning Galaxy S8 yet, in Burgundy Red.
The new color coincides with the change of seasons, Korea is midway through the autumn and the leaves are turning red. The full red back goes well with the Galaxy S8's elegant metal and glass design, and the deep red of the aluminum is something really special. The back, the frame and the buttons are very bright with an exquisite red hue. Samsung advertises the phone with a video showing a woman staring out the window at the autumn leaves, and calling out to Samsung's Bixby assistant as they go through a cable car to a cover of The Delfonics "La-La (Means I love you)." Red has always been the color of passion, and that's definitely the theme of this phone, and the fire that Samsung wants to light under your wallet.
Other than the color, the phone pretty much remains the same as it was earlier this year. The Burgundy Red edition will come with the Exynos 8895 chipset, and has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Samsung isn't updating it with the dual camera we saw on the Galaxy Note8, and it will still retain its 12-megapixel camera.
Unfortunately, the Burgundy Red phone is only available in South Korea at this time. Other territories will have to make do with the regular colors of Midnight Black, Maple Gold, Orchid Grey, Arctic Silver and Rose Pink, at least for now. As always, it should still be possible to obtain the Burgundy Red color through importing and other channels.
Be sure to look through Priceprice.com's listings, the Burgundy Red color may show up here sooner or later before the official release outside of South Korea.
