Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime launched in Vietnam
As the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime goes official in Vietnam the rumor mill has the last laugh since the phone has turned out to be exactly the way it was rumored. The phone with 5.5-inch full HD IPS display, 3GB RAM and Exynos 7870 SoC is priced at VND 6,290,000 (Approx. Rs 19,000). Galaxy J7 Prime will go on sale starting September 23. So far, it is unknown when the phone will be available in other markets.
Rumors were doing the rounds that Samsung Galaxy J7 was imminent with a new refresh to be called Galaxy J7 Prime. And now finally proving the rumors as true as the South Korean behemoth has launched J7 Prime in the Vietnam market. The phone has been listed on Samsung's Vietnam website with full detail of specifications, pricing and availability.
Galaxy J7 Prime is available for pre-orders until September 22. Priced at VND 6,290,000 (Approx. Rs 19,000) the phone will start shipping from September 23. As of now, the company hasn't put forth any official word as to when the J7 Prime will start rolling out for other international markets.
As per the listed specs on the website, Galaxy J7 Prime features a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display with (1080x1920 pixels) resolution and supports a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 laid on the front. The phone is driven by an octa-core Exynos 7870 processor clocking at 1.6GHz. Galaxy J7 Prime has 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage that can be made even more spacious up to 256GB by using a microSD card.
As for the optics, the new phone comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash whilst it has an 8MP front camera with the same aperture as in the rear camera. The latter is also capable of recording a full HD video. A 3300mAh battery supplies the juice to the phone.
Among other things, the dual SIM phone includes the connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS and micro-USB. The phone supports LTE Cat 4 download speeds. J7 Prime comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded on the home button and features the recent S-Bike mode that plays a pre-recorded voice to the callers if the user is in the midst of driving.
Previously, Galaxy J7 was launched in India in 2015 and 2016 respectively at a price of Rs 14,999 and Rs 15,990. This year Galaxy J7 Prime would be the third generation upgrade.
