Motorola launches the Moto X4 in India, prices start at INR 20,999
Motorola's mid-range phone, the Moto X4, which was launched in the US last August, now arrived in India. The mid-range smartphone costs INR 20,999 for the 3 GB RAM/32 GB storage model and INR 22,999 for the 4 GB RAM/64 GB storage variant.
Lenovo-owned Motorola announced the Moto X4 in the US back in August, just before the IFA 2017 trade show took place in Berlin. A few months after the launch, the much-anticipated device now arrived on the shores of India. As a refresher, the handset was initially scheduled to arrive in the country last October 3. Sadly, it got delayed due to some mysterious reasons which disappointed many of the company's fans and loyalists. Apparently, we must focus on the positive side, which is the recent arrival of the mid-range smartphone in the Indian market. Now, we will discuss what the Moto X4 has to offer.
Design-wise, the Moto X4 features a metal and glass unibody with IP68 dust and water resistance rating. There's a circular housing surrounded by ribbed texture for its horizontally-positioned dual rear camera setup which amplified its appeal. It also has a fingerprint scanner below the 5.2-inch, 1920 x 1080 IPS LCD screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The bottom side of the device comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and a USD Type-C port. The phone measures 148.4 x 73.5 x 8 mm and weighs 163 grams. Unlike the others in the lineup, the Moto X4 does not support modular accessories.
The rest of the specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz and coupled with Adreno 508 GPU. The handset packs two RAM options, 3 GB RAM and 4 GB RAM, as well as two storage models, 32 GB native storage and 64 GB internal memory. On the camera front, the Moto X4 sports a dual camera setup comprised of a 12 MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and an 8 MP secondary lens with f/2.2 aperture. There's also a 16 MP selfie shooter with flash up front. It runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. The lights are kept on by a 3,000 mAh battery on board. As for the pricing, the phone costs INR 20,999 for the 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage variant and INR 22,999 for the 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage model.
