Motorola Moto X4 to hit the Indian market on November 13
After bungling up the Moto X4's first launch date, which was set for October 3, Motorola has revealed a new date for the launch of the handset in the Indian market. If a tweet of the Lenovo-owned firm is to be believed, the Moto X4 will now launch on November 13. Originally launched at IFA 2017, the Moto X4 is currently available in Europe with a price tag of EUR399(approx. INR30,000). The smartphone features a 5.2-inch FHD screen, 3GB RAM and octa-core Snapdragon 630 SoC.
The Moto X4, which has been giving a miss to the Indian market is finally going to be unveiled on November 13. Prior to this, the smartphone was slated for a release on October 3, but it didn't materialize. The Moto X4 was originally announced at IFA 2017 in Berlin and currently available in the European market.
The Lenovo-owned Motorola took to Twitter to announce the new date for the release of the upcoming Moto X4. Besides this, the company didn't divulge anything else about the handset. However, the Moto X4 is expected to launch in India packing Google Assistant as well as Amazon Alexa, the AI-based digital voice services.
Talking about the specs of the Moto X4, it flaunts a 5.2-inch full HD 1080p display topped with Corning Gorilla Glass. Under the hood, it draws power from an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC clocked at 2.2GHz. The chip is further aided by 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
On the optics front, the Moto X4 is packed with a dual camera setup at the rear which is comprised of a 12MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The dual camera module supports PDAF and dual-tone LED flash. Up front, it tacks on a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash.
Android 7.1 Nougat handles the software side of things. Also, the Android 8.0 Oreo update is promised in the near future. A 3,000mAh battery armed with fast charging keeps the juice flowing to the handset. In terms of connectivity options, it supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. The fingerprint scanner is conveniently mounted on the front.
The price tag is under wraps as of now, but it is expected to be in the neighborhood of European price which is EUR399(approx. INR30,000).
