Moto X4's Indian price leaked, tipped to cost Rs. 23,999 for 4 GB variant
Ahead of its launch on November 13 in India, the Moto X4 has leaked in the form of an alleged retail box that reveals the hitherto unknown aspect of the handset, which is the price. The Moto X4 for a 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage model in Super Black color option is shown bearing a price tag of Rs 23,999 which is, in fact, competitive in the Indian market. The smartphone features a 5.2-inch display, 3 GB/4 GB RAM, 32 GB/64 GB storage, Snapdragon 630 SoC and dual 12 MP + 8 MP camera setup at the back.
Originally unveiled at the IFA 2017, the Moto X4 marks the comeback of the Motorola X-series. However, the device is yet to land in India. First, it was slated to launch in the country on October 3 but it didn't materialize. Again, Lenovo-owned Motorola has revealed a new date for the unveiling of the Moto X4. The smartphone is now set to launch on November 13.
And ahead of the launch, there is hardly anything in terms of specs that is left to our imagination. So far only the price tag was a mystery. However, that piece of the puzzle also seems to have solved now; thanks to the leak of its alleged retail box.
Recently, a leaked image of the alleged retail box of the Moto X4 appeard online showing off a price tag of Rs 23, 999 written over inclusive of all taxes. It seems good sense has prevailed upon the company as it has priced the handset competitively for the price sensitive Indian market. The same smartphone is available in Europe at a price point of EUR 399 (around. Rs 30,500).
The Rs 23,999 price tag is for the 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage variant in Super Black color option. For a note, the handset will also be available in 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage variant in Sterling Blue color option. The price of the latter model is not leaked, however. The retail box also reveals that the handset has an integrated 3,000 mAh battery with 4.4 V charger limit.
Regarding the other specs, the rumor, so far, tells us that the forthcoming Moto X4 will feature a 5.2-inch full HD 1080p display topped with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Powering the handset is an octa-core Snapdragon 630 SoC clocked at 2.2 GHz.
In the imaging department, the Moto X4 is expected to feature a 12 MP (f/2.0 aperture) + 8 MP (f/2.2 aperture) dual camera setup at the back, a 16 MP single camera setup is placed up front. Android 7.1 Nougat handles the software side of things. Amongst other things, the device is IP68 certified, making it water and dust resistant. The Moto X4 offers a build quality that is made up of metal and glass. The new report also confirmed that the Amazon Alexa voice assistant won't be a part of the Moto X4 in India.
Coming back to the retail box, the leaked image looks quite convincing, but still, we must wait for the official confirmation from the Lenovo. And in case Lenovo doesn't come out with any info in this regard, November 13 is not far away when everything about the Moto X4 will be out in the open.
