Meizu PRO 7 leaks in fresh live images and 3D video
In the rumour mill, the Meizu PRO 7 is unfolding at a rapid pace. In the latest leaks, the smartphone is leaked in live images as well as in a 3D render video. Both of the leaks confirmed the long-rumored secondary display along with a few design aspects. The device packed with Helio X30 SoC, 6GB or 8GB RAM and dual rear camera setup of 12MP+12MP is expected in the second half of this year. But, a few retailers in China have already put up the phone for pre-orders, even before the official announcement of the handset.
The Meizu PRO 7 is all over the internet. As the device is expected to be unwrapped in the second half of the year we are pretty much settled on its key specs, features, as well as design by now thanks to the handset leaking leaps and bounds on almost an everyday basis.
Of late, the upcoming smartphone leaked in live images and a 3D render video. In the live shots, the Meizu PRO 7 is seen in a black paint job which is an addition to the earlier leaked colour options of red and gold. The curvy black bezels add to the appeal of the handset. The rear of the handset shows off a reflective surface akin to glass.
However, most notably, the live images confirm a secondary display at the back just below the horizontally aligned dual camera module. As per recent reports, the secondary display is, in fact, the LCD display rather than the E-ink display rumoured earlier. The secondary display is fully functional and just a diminutive version of the primary front display.
Moving on to the 3D video, it showcases the Meizu PRO 7 as well as its bigger sibling, the Meizu PRO 7 Plus next to each other. Both the variants are shown in rose colour option. The video once again confirms the presence of a secondary display as well as the dual camera at the back of the handset.
The video also captures USB Type-C connectivity, 3.5mm headphone jack and speaker grille at the bottom. On the usual right edge, the power button and the volume rockers are present while the front of the device shows a home button below the display doubling as a fingerprint scanner.
Regarding the specs, the smartphone is expected to be powered by MediaTek Helio X30 SoC, clubbed with 6GB or 8GB RAM. A dual camera setup comprising a pair of 12MP sensors at the back and a 16MP sensor on the front will handle the optics department. While both the variants, the Meizu PRO 7 and the Meizu PRO 7 Plus will go with the same specs, it is the display size where they differ. The Meizu PRO 7 and Meizu PRO 7 Plus are expected to flaunt 5.2-inch and 5.7-inch FHD displays respectively.
There is a very vague idea about when exactly the handset will launch. Although it is expected to launch somewhere in the second half of the year, some Chinese retailers have already started taking pre-orders for the upcoming Meizu PRO 7 and PRO 7 Plus. A pre-booking can be done by giving a mere advance payment of 200 Yuan (Approx. Rs 1,896).
