A month after being spotted at TENAA the Honor 7C is now officially confirmed to be unveiled on March 12 in China. HUAWEI's sub-brand Honor has posted an online invite in this regard, suggesting some of the upcoming device's features such as dual camera, facial recognition, and a 5.99-inch display.
The Honor 7C, a new mid-range smartphone is floating around the rumor mill for quite some time. Last month it also cleared the TENAA certification, signaling that its launch was around the corner. And now Honor, HUAWEI's sub-brand, has made it official that the Honor 7C, is, in fact, landing on March 12. Honor has posted an official invite for the unveiling of the Honor 7C smartphone featuring its name and a suggestive image. The invite tells that the handset is slated for a launch on March 12 in Beijing.
The post is in the form of a several suggestive objects apparently representing each aspect of the device. For example, the presence of the camera and lens suggests that the Honor 7C is to offer a better camera experience with a dual-camera setup. Similarly, the mask and the paintbrushes could be surmised for a facial recognition feature laced with beauty enhancement tricks. Other supposed features, as per the post, are dual SIM slot, better sound output and of course a beautiful 5.99-inch display.
While the post gives enough hints regarding the features of the upcoming Honor 7C, it remains mum on its specs. Nevertheless, thanks to the TENAA certification, we are already in the knowledge of its key specifications. According to the listing, the Honor 7C will sport a 5.99-inch HD+ display with 720x1440p resolution and in-vogue 18:9 aspect ratio. Powering the handset will be an unspecified octa-core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz. The device is expected to feature 3 GB/4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. The expandability support, however, is not known as of yet.
As far as the camera department, it is likely that a dual-camera setup with 20 MP + 13 MP configurations will sit pretty at the back. For selfies, the device will make use of an 8 MP front-facing camera. Android Oreo will handle the software side of things while a 2,900 mAh battery will fuel the handset to remain power-on.
Despite the fact that the Honor 7C will drop on March 12, so far, there is no word on its pricing. We guess, considering its mid-range orientation, the device could sell for about INR 15,000. Ahead of the launch, a definite info in this regard is, however, likely. Stay tuned.
