About Benelli TNT

Summary

Benelli TNT has over the years become the company's most popular and best-selling series around the world. India too, is no exception. The TNTs, especially the 25 and 600i are some of the fastest selling bikes in the country.

The Benelli TNT – Among Young India's Favourite Super Bike Series'

One of the oldest Italian bike manufacturers, Benelli today produces some of the best super bikes in the world. The Benelli TNT is their most successful series with the price of bikes starting from 1.7lakh right up to 12lakhs.

The TNT series covers the entire range of Benelli's most popular bikes in different price segments.

The history of Benelli

It was the dream of 6 Italian brothers to build their own motorcycle. Their perseverance stuck through for 8 long years and finally in the summer of 1919, the first Benelli engine came to exist. It was a 75cc two-stroke that when put together with the front of bicycle, didn't quite give the desirable results.

In 1921, the first real Benelli bike, 'the Velomotore' saw release. It was a 98cc two-stroke lightweight. Thereafter, the brothers increased their level of production and released several motorcycles one after the other.

During the 40s, outbreak of the war saw them having to curtail themselves to creating bikes only for military purposes. After the war, the company focussed production on sports bikes that would compete in world championships. This led to Benelli producing bikes that would go on to become fan favourites of sports biking enthusiasts around the world and give the company it's cult status.

Benelli in India

Benelli entered Indian shores with a historic merger with the DSK group in 2014. This was the first time Benelli bikes including several Benelli TNT bikes would be available on the Indian market. Mr. Shirish Kulkarni, chairman of DSK motorwheels saw the merger through and handles production of the Benelli bikes in India.

Among the most popular of the TNTs in India is the Benelli TNT 25 which is priced at just under 2 lakhs. Not only is it the most affordable bike of the series, but it also offers impeccable value for money with its 249cc engine.

Dealerships of the company are spread across the major metro cities of India such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

The USP of the TNT series

The TNT series includes the TNT 25, TNT 600i, TNT 300, TNT 600GT, TNT 899 and TNT R – all of which are available in showrooms in India.

The reason for the popularity and sales of the TNT series in India is simply its greatly versatility and affordable pricing. The specifications of most Benelli TNT bikes are unmatched at the same price point.

Latest in the TNT line

The 600i (released in 2016) was the fastest selling model from the TNT series of the year. With every new release, Benelli is strengthening their brand and consumer base in the country and continue to outshine competitors in the segment.

As long as India's fascination with super bikes is to stay, Benelli TNT is most likely to dominate the scene and attract more buyers.
