Established in 2002, iBerry happens to be one amongst Hong Kong’s top manufacturers in the field of electronics devices.
History of iBerry Auxus series
iBerry has a R&D centre in Chennai, India. iBerry’s main business is to make smartphones and tablets. In 2012, the company had launched the Auxus AX02 mobile, followed by the first Android smartphone, the Auxus Nuclea N1 in July 2013. However in 2014, a wide range of smartphones were released, namely the Auxus Nuclea N2 in January, the Auxus Beast in April, Auxus Nuclea X and Aura Handy H01 in May and Auxus Aura A1 in September.
In December, the first smartwatch Auxus Rist was launched followed by Auxus Aura One and Auxus Xenea. The Auxus Beast is the latest smartphone in the series, with Snapdeal being its selling partner.
Popularity in India
Generally, iBerry caters from the mid-range to the high-end segment of users. The most popular smartphones are mainly the iBerry Auxus Beast, the iBerry Auxus Aura One, the iBerry Auxus Rist, the iBerry Auxus Aura A1, the iBerry Auxus Nuclea N1 and N2, the iBerry Auxus Xenea and the iBerry Auxus Nuclea X devices. Although iBerry isn’t exactly a strong force to reckon with, a number of its smartphones have been praised for their quality.
Design of iBerry Auxus series
iBerry phones are lightweight and durable. Not only do they happen to be unmatched and elegantly designed, their body is solid metallic and that enhances its appearance. The handsets come with 4 inches and higher screen display sizes with dual camera support.
They also support a blend of fascinating features like WVGA, IPS, qHD OGS capacitive multi touchscreen displays with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and in-built speakers.
Features of iBerry Auxus series
The iBerry Auxus series of phones are powered by Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon and 64-bit octa-core MediaTek processors, which ensure smooth performances along with Mali GPU with a minimum memory capacity of 512MB RAM. Usually, these devices run on Android OS such as Ice Cream Sandwich, KitKat, and Lollipop. Auxus devices come with a minimum 4GB internal memory which can be expandable with the help of a micro-SD card to 128GB, depending on the model. This allows for storing additional pictures and videos.
The cameras on the Auxus handsets come with a maximum 15.5MP auto focus Sony sensor rotating camera at the rear and a minimum of 8MP front camera for memorable video calling moments and self portraits. They can also take full HD videos at 30fps. Generally these phones offer digital zoom with dual LED flash with HDR, BSI sensor and supports face detection, geo-tagging and f/2.0 aperture. Other features are its rear touch panel that is capable of being used for scrolling up and down. They are also capable of being utilized like a trigger with the camera for capturing images. Besides, In low light situations, the LED flash ensures good quality images.
These devices support connectivity features like dual SIM standby, HSPA, 3G HSDPA up to 7.2.Mbps and HSUPA up to 5.76 Mbps, 2G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, EDGE, GPRS, GPS with A-GPS, Google Maps, and GLONASS. A USB port offers further connectivity and loads of preloaded media apps such as FM radio, video player, MP3 and MP4 player, Picasa and YouTube. Multiple media formats are supported as well. The latest apps are capable of being downloaded from Google Play.
iBerry Auxus devices can also be customized with the user’s preferences. Li-ion type batteries from 600mAh up to 3050mAH are used. These batteries provide sufficient backup for basic calling purposes or surfing the Internet. In fact, you can also fiddle with your phone all day long.
In adition they also support gyroscope, accelerometer, ambient light and proximity sensors and the phones come with 16 million colours support as well.
