LG started designing and manufacturing mobile phones long ago. In fact, it earlier produced many different feature phones, including ones with that came in clamshell, slider, and with a touchscreen. As a result, the Optimus series was born in 2010. This was an entry level series and pretty popular one too. A host of Optimus devices were released in the following years. LG has also introduced several other lines of Android devices, including its flagship, the G series. It has also collaborated with Google to release two versions of Nexus devices, which are the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 5X.

LG’s cell phone lineup is rich in terms of design. The company is also known to launch innovative designs from time to time, just as we saw with the G Flex smartphone releases, which features a curved P-OLED display.

The construction for most phones is metal or polycarbonate. The higher priced phones usually come with a metal finish. The back features a metal or matte finish that allows for comfortable gripping. One can also find the LG branding on the back.

The screens on these devices vary in size, but have IPS LCD/OLED displays. They also feature HD/FHD resolutions that offer a truly great viewing experience. Some of the phones also support the use of a stylus.

As for the availability of colors, LG‘s phones have many attractive options that offer a great look.

LG’s smartphone range is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon, MediaTek and ARM Cortex processors from other makers too. In addition, they contain up to 3GB of primary memory for smooth functioning. Internal storage on these phones 16/32GB for a majority of the devices. Even the commonly devices have about 8GB. An external micro-SD card slot can be used to further increase memory.

LG’s devices run on various Android versions. They are also updated from time to time with several upgrades. The company also has its very own interface running on its phones, known as the Optimus UI. It largely consists of all essential apps that are often required by users.

The phones come with a large number of connectivity options, such a cellular connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro USB with OTG in certain models, and GPS. They are also equipped with high-quality cameras for the front and the rear. The phones also have external speakers and a headphone jack.
