About ASUS VivoBook
With its headquarters in Taipei, Taiwan, ASUSTeK Computer Inc. happens to be an electronics and hardware company. History of ASUS Laptops
ASUS’s origin dates back to the year 1989, when four engineers, who had previously worked for Acer, came together to lay the company’s foundations. However, this is only the case when compared to other major players like Lenovo, Apple, and HP. The company has good reputation and popularity in the Indian laptop market segment.
Most retailers and ecommerce houses of the country offer Asus laptops and also other products of the company. Laptops are also pretty affordably priced and find verve with the Indian buyers. There are premium options available as well.
Design of Asus Laptops
Asus laptops come in a very traditional notebook design. The construction is largely polycarbonate or metal alloy, which ensures sturdiness and light weight.
The laptops have the Asus branding in the center of the lid’s top side. The VX (in collaboration with Lamborghini) and ROG series have another trendy design as well. Most of the laptop models arrive in a plethora of color options, giving a number of choices to the user.
The laptop’s screen usually ranges from lower than 12 inches and goes right up to 18 inches. They are also known to feature IPS LED technology and provide a stellar display.
Features of Asus Laptops
Asus’ laptops are power packed with numerous features and functionalities. They are powered by a multitude of processors from various makers and their different generations. One can find AMD, Nvidia and even Intel processor lineups, such as Celeron, Pentium, Core i3, i5 and i7. In addition, they also provide sufficient amounts of memory, as per the requirements of the users. In general, this ranges between 2GB to 16GB. Storage is offered in two major forms, i.e. SSD and HDD. While HDD options up to 2TB are offered, SSD storage ranges from 24GB to 512 GB for most laptops in the series. Many of the laptops in the series, especially gaming ones, offer an additional graphics unit.
For connectivity, the most obvious options available are Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, WLAN and Ethernet. Other than this, one can also rely on a number of USB ports, HDMI and VGA ports for connecting displays and devices. The laptops also have a headphone jack and microphone, coupled with a web camera for calling facility.
Most of Asus laptops run on Windows operating system, although its famous Eee PC series also ran on a Linux distribution.
