History of ASUS Laptops

ASUS’s origin dates back to the year 1989, when four engineers, who had previously worked for Acer, came together to lay the company’s foundations. However, the company’s first dive in to the personal computer market happened at a much later date. This was in 2007, when ASUS launched its Eee PC, a netbook that gained popularity and even won awards.

After this, the company started to manufacture both laptops and desktops under its own personal branding. Since then, ASUS has released a number of series and models that has earned praise. In fact, it happened to the fifth largest PC vendor in the world, as per last year’s reports.

However, this is only the case when compared to other major players like Lenovo, Apple, and HP. The company has good reputation and popularity in the Indian laptop market segment.

Most retailers and ecommerce houses of the country offer Asus laptops and also other products of the company. Laptops are also pretty affordably priced and find verve with the Indian buyers. There are premium options available as well.

Design of Asus Laptops

Asus laptops come in a very traditional notebook design. The construction is largely polycarbonate or metal alloy, which ensures sturdiness and light weight.

The laptops have the Asus branding in the center of the lid’s top side. The VX (in collaboration with Lamborghini) and ROG series have another trendy design as well. Most of the laptop models arrive in a plethora of color options, giving a number of choices to the user.

The laptop’s screen usually ranges from lower than 12 inches and goes right up to 18 inches. They are also known to feature IPS LED technology and provide a stellar display.

One can find AMD, Nvidia and even Intel processor lineups, such as Celeron, Pentium, Core i3, i5 and i7. In addition, they also provide sufficient amounts of memory, as per the requirements of the users. In general, this ranges between 2GB to 16GB. Storage is offered in two major forms, i.e. SSD and HDD. While HDD options up to 2TB are offered, SSD storage ranges from 24GB to 512 GB for most laptops in the series.
