History of HP Pavilion series
The Pavilion series was primarily launched in 1995, and that too as a desktop model. The Pavilion notebook models came much later and in 2004 some of the initial models in the series were the Pavilion dv 1000 series models. The dv4, dv5 and dv7 were introduced later in 2008. However, many of these later models were discontinued and merged into the Envy lineup in 2012.
At present, HP has 6 lineups of several models in the Pavilion series. These are Pavilion 14, 15, 17, x2, x360 11 and x360 13.
