Fujifilm, also known as Fuji, is primarily a Japanese multinational company having its headquarters in Tokyo. It started functioning on 20th of January, 1934.

Fuji stood as one of the key players in the global digital market right when the digital market shipments were around $98.6 million units in 2012. Their global market reach presently extends to

As per sales figures, the company officials declare selling off 5 million Fuji digital cameras globally in 2015 and aimed at increasing their figures to 6.5 million by the end of 2017.

Their present net worth as per reports of May 2017 is $18.1 billion with sales figures standing at $21.66 billion.

Brand Cognizance

Both as a brand and also in terms of digital cameras, the company occupies a raging popularity in US with 30% sales, in ASIA with 15% sales and in the European continent with 15% sales.

Furthermore, they have collaborated with a celebrity actress which led to the sales figures going off the roofs, primarily amongst the female sect of the market. To have the same appeal amongst males, they have now acquired James Reid as their new brand endorser to carry out an encore.

Prospects in Indian Arcade

MD- Yasunobu Nishiyama reveals that they had sold 5,000 Fujifilm digital cameras in 2015. However, he also stated of doubling it soon to expand their reach in the Indian consumer arcade. Their turnover in India is over Rs. 1000 Crores with 30% of their business concerning imaging and digital cameras.
