About HP Envy

HP Envy Desktops

Hewlett-Packard, abbreviated and popularly known as HP, is an American multinational technology firm that develops the Envy line of desktops. The Envy series is primarily meant to be HP’s premium desktop series, and is rated above the Pavilion series.

History of HP Envy Desktops

The HP Envy series was released in 2009, with the release of notebook models. Desktop releases followed immediately after and have been recognized as the company’s premium brand of offerings.

At present, HP offers several lineups of Envy desktops. These consist of Envy Desktop and Envy Phoenix Desktop for the tower models, and Envy Beats and Envy Recline for the all-in-one types.

Popularity in India

HP products are well preferred among customers in the country. HP’s notebooks, desktops, printers and such accessories have always seen good market share.

Also, the Envy desktops, despite being priced premium, offer great value. After sales service by HP is also top-notch, which makes them a great choice for customers.

Design of HP Envy Desktops

The HP Envy desktops are available in two basic categories, which are the tower models and the all-in-one models. The tower models are crafted to perfection, with space saving slim design. They also feature a brush of metal on the chassis and LED lighting that gives them a truly stunning look.

The all-in-one Envy desktops are very well-designed works as well. They feature a 23 inch Full HD IPS backlit wireless display, which can also be operated by touches. In addition, the monitors are capable of being adjusted in a number of positions that allow for comfort viewing. All-in-ones also feature Beats Audio speakers, and the Envy Beats model specifically features quad speakers and subwoofers as well.

The keyboard and mouse with remote control combo is a wired one. However, one can choose an optional wireless combo instead during purchase.

HP Envy Desktops Features

The HP Envy desktops are powered by 4th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processors. However, there are few basic models that go with AMD A series quad core processors. For graphics, one can rely on the integrated HD graphics options or opt for a discrete GPU. Many of the desktops in the Phoenix lineup come with Nvidia GeForce cards as well and support overclocking. AMD Radeon cards can also be availed.

Essentially, the all the Envy desktops can support up to 32GB of RAM. However, most models essentially feature 8/12/16GB of DDR3 memory. Storage options up to 3TB HDD or 512GB SSD are supported and the customer can choose during purchase.

All the desktops do have WLAN connectivity, with Bluetooth. Besides this, you can also find a number of other connectivity options that differ between individual products. USB ports, Ethernet ports, VGA ports, jacks for headphones and microphones and more. DVD RW drives are often included or are optional, and there is support for up to 3 display monitors. A number of HP accessories can be customized along with an Envy desktop too.

The Envy Phoenix desktops features liquid cooling system too, considering they are largely categorized as gaming desktop models by HP. The devices also have either audio control panel from Bang and Olufsen or Beats Audio, which gives you control over your sound.

All desktops run on Windows 8.1, which is pre-installed along with some bundled utility software.
