About HP Desktops
HP Inc., a company that produces computer hardware such as desktops, laptops and printers, also happens to be among the largest computer vendors in the world. Originally known as the Hewlett-Packard Company, it was recently split into two different companies, one being HP Inc. and the other being HP Enterprise.
History of HP Desktops
When it comes to the development of computer hardware, HP has always had a rich history. However, much of the company’s older computers were largely meant for the geeks and not common users. The company’s first general desktop PC came in the form of the HP Pavilion (1995), a line that exists till date. HP has a very good presence in India. This is largely due to that fact that the company was one of the first to enter the Indian computer market and capture a sizeable portion too. Along with this, it also has maintained quality with regards to the products and services offered by them.
HP’s products are very easily available through numerous showrooms, retailers and ecommerce giants alike. They also offer periodic season discounts, and hence are pretty popular. Also, they have a wide range of desktop models that cater to different budget segments, thus making it busy for Indian buyers as well.
Design of HP Desktops
HP’s desktop PCs are easily among the best in class and design. The Envy series being of the premium category happens to be the one with the better design features. The Pavilion, however, doesn’t significantly lag behind either.
The towers models feature a slim, metal body chassis that boasts of numerous colors and also some LED lighting. The all in ones are more of the compact PC that comes in a modern avatar. As for the all in one models, they come with a touchscreen with IPS LED F/HD display. The size is mostly 23 inches in terms of diagonal measurement. A very sleek stand provides supports and is pretty strong as well. Some Envy all in ones also come with Beats Audio speakers, that have woofers too.
Another available option is the Pavilion Mini Desktop, which is pretty similar to Apple’s Mac Mini.
Features of HP Desktops
Desktops models from HP are abound with many modern features that people mostly seem to look for. They are available with a range of processors, both from Intel and AMD. Even the very latest generations of processors are available. Additionally, HP provides sufficient amounts of memory to keep your machines running. Around 4 to 16GB of RAM is provided with these devices. Internal storage options lie between SSD and HDD. SSDs are the more expensive option and they come in a size of around 512MB. For HDD, the size can be anything between 1GB and 3TB.
One can also look forward to a range of graphics cards from both AMD Radeon and Nvidia. These can be useful to people who work with graphical applications or gamers.
Connectivity can be found in the form of Wi-FI, Bluetooth, USB, Ethernet, VGA and many more. Headphone jacks and speaker jacks are also to be found. DVD burning drives are also packed with HP desktops.
Almost all HP desktops run Windows OS.

HP recently introduced the Pavilion 23 inch all in one desktop model and it seems to be pretty similar to the iMac. However, it has been priced at roughly $600, which is way below the $1100/$1500(with 4k display) required for purchasing an iMac.
