Samsung Will Provide an Indigenous Built 13-Megapixel Camera for the Galaxy Note8
Samsung will soon launch its Galaxy Note8. The launch is expected to be around the month of August. The smartphone will have a dual 13-megapixel camera setup built by Samsung Electro-Mechanics for Samsung Electronics. The company is also working on three dual camera sensors. The application of the sensors into the camera is still not acknowledged, but it will have a major role to play.
With their new line of upcoming smartphones, Samsung has been trying to make a stronghold after its Galaxy Note7 blast debacle resulting in loss of their revenue and market share. Their latest smartphone, the Galaxy S8 also initially ran into some display related issues, but the problems were addressed and taken care of before it could make any negative impact on them. The Korean giant has more smartphones to be launched in the near future and one of them is the Galaxy Note8. Despite Samsung's effort to equip the device with top-notch features, recently rumours about them encountering technical issues with regard to the in-display fingerprint scanner for the Note8 just swirled online. Now the latest web buzzing has moved on to the leak about its camera set up.
The Samsung Galaxy Note8 is said to have a dual 13-megapixel camera setup at the back. The news was confirmed by the Weibo leakster and the prominent Chinese follower, @ice universe. According to his post, Samsung Electro-Mechanics will supply the required components to Samsung Electronics for the camera. The other information reveals that Samsung is working on three dual camera sensors for the Galaxy Note8. Previously, Ming-Chi Kuo, a market analyst, claimed that the handset would have a 13-megapixel and 12-megapixel dual camera setup.
The specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Note8 are not yet disclosed, but they would be similar to the Galaxy S series phones, the Galaxy S8 and the S8+. The rumoured specifications suggest that the Galaxy Note8 will have a 5.8-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The handset might also carry the same firepower, i.e., the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset inside with the RAM having configurable options of 4GB and 6GB. The storage would also be chosen from the 64GB/128GB of internal storage memory.
The Galaxy Note8 is expected to be released somewhere in the middle of August. The dates are not official, but the smartphone is surely in pipeline. Considering the good response the Galaxy S8 has received, we will have to see how people would respond to the Galaxy Note8, keeping aside the history of the Galaxy Note7.
