OnePlus' latest smartphone offering, the OnePlus 5T, which serves as an upgrade to the current flagship device, the OnePlus 5, has been the center of the rumor mills for some time now. While most of what we know is from unofficial sources, we still managed to receive some information straight from the Chinese phone manufacturer. For instance, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei took it to Twitter last week to tease us with a camera sample from the upcoming 5T. Two days after, the company outed a teaser which showed several OnePlus phones laid out with audio jacks. Well, that doesn't end there.
OnePlus seems to take the word 'teaser' in a literal manner by releasing a new 'tea-ser' for the OnePlus 5T. The subtle 'tea-ser' showcased five black cups with the OnePlus logo on them. If you look closely, you can notice that the cups have teas in them which leads us to think about "five teas" or 5T. Maybe it's not so subtle like how we initially believe it is. Meanwhile, the reason behind the tech firm's constant building hype around its high-end handset might be because the Apple iPhone X, HTC U11 Plus, and Razer Phone launched just recently.
Regarding the rumored specs, the OnePlus 5T sports a 6-inch display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it is said to have a Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. It will pack either 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of built-in storage. On the camera department, it is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup comprised of two 20 MP sensors. It will run on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. Reports suggest that the top-tier smartphone will arrive on November 16. We can only confirm the recent reports' accuracy upon the phone's launch next week.
