Leaked top half image render and camera sample of the OnePlus 5T surface online
OnePlus is on the verge of unveiling the OnePlus 5T by next month, according to recent rumors. Prior to its launch, the OnePlus leaks in a top half image render posted by Evan Blass. The company's co-founder also teases a camera sample of the device on Twitter.
We are already bombarded with leaked images and speculations regarding the upcoming OnePlus 5T a few weeks before its launch by mid-November. Last week, we saw a hands-on photograph of the device, showing off its front panel. Now, we have here two images which can give us additional details about the yet-to-be-announced smartphone.
First, a leaked photo of the OnePlus 5T is currently circulating online, thanks to the reliable tipster Evan Blass who initially posted it on Twitter. The image render showcases the top half of the phone which seems to suggest the existence of a 2.5D curved glass on top of the display, just like the iPhone 8. The handset's alleged 6-inch screen comes with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. Its side bezels look very thin, but we're not buying it as it seems like it's just because of digital trickery. We can only make sure how thick the smartphone is upon its launch next month.
Second, the OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei released a teaser showing a camera sample of an unspecified device. Of course, we believe that the shot was taken using a OnePlus 5T considering that it is the only phone widely-rumored lately. The Portrait Mode image looks impressive, as expected. Rumors have it that the handset features a dual 20-megapixel rear camera setup. There's still no information about its front-facing snapper, sadly.
The rest of the specs is said to include a Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 540 GPU under the hood. It might arrive with two memory combinations: 6 GB of RAM + 64 GB of built-in storage and 8 GB of RAM + 128 GB internal memory. Pricing is expected to start at USD 550 (approx. INR 35,600) and might go way up to USD 650 (approx. INR 42,200), depending on the storage option. Although there are conflicting rumors regarding the announcement date of the OnePlus 5T, all of them point to the second half of November.
