Moto Z 2018 and Moto Z 2018 Kingsman VIP Special Edition launched in China

Motorola recently announced its latest flagship smartphone, the Moto Z 2018, in China. The newly-launched device also comes in a limited edition variant dubbed as the Moto Z 2018 Kingsman VIP Special Edition.

Lenovo-owned Motorola recently launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Moto Z 2018, in the Chinese gadget market. Being a top-tier device, the Moto Z 2018 comes with a 5.5-inch AMOLED ShatterShield 2K display, a dual Sony IMX386 12 MP rear camera setup, and has a body made entirely of series 7000 aluminum. Design-wise, it has a brushed metal back design, an all-around antenna line, redesigned moto mod connector pins, and a glass front. If you are a real smartphone enthusiast, you might have noticed that those features are also in the Moto Z2 Force, which was out last July. Well, the reason for the similarity is that the newly-launched Moto Z 2018 is just a rebranded Moto Z2 Force!

Regarding the specifications, the Moto Z 2018 features the same Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor. Unlike the Moto Z2 Force, the new device packs 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB built-in storage which supports an expandable memory of up to 2 TB via microSD card. The front-facing camera of the handset remains as a 5 MP OmniVision 5695 sensor with LED flash. As for the platform, it runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out-of-the-box. The phone itself comes with a 2730 mAh battery. Apparently, there's a 3490 mAh Moto Mod with TurboPower and a Moto Style Mod which enables wireless charging inside the package. Furthermore, Motorola introduced the world's first USB-C Hi-Fi headphones with a 120 cm long braided cable and an in-line control with volume buttons and a call button.

Apart from that, there's a limited edition Moto Z 2018 called as the Moto Z 2018 Kingsman VIP Special Edition. It bears the same design language and specs as the standard variant. The only difference is that it is made available inside a well-finished box designed like a briefcase having these perks: a VIP Card, a TurboPower battery mod, a wireless charging mod, a USB-C to 3.5mm audio adapter, a leather flip case, a 45th-year-anniversary notepad, a pair of USB Type-C Hi-Fi headphones, and a warranty card. It costs CNY 9,999 (INR 97,700) while the pricing for the regular version is still not known.
