The new leaked images of Honda Fireblade clearly depict a video shoot at a racetrack. Several sources have claimed that the racetrack is in Croatia. By taking a look at some of these leaked images, we can make out that changes are significant.
This starts out with its bodywork which is new. It seems Honda has given a new design language in its front fairing. The company has been using this design language in most of its latest models for a while now.
As compared to the previous design, the sidepanels of its fairing now bears deep cuts from the frame and its engine. Unlike its predecessor, this new Honda Fireblade has a smaller and sleeker seat unit.
One of the most obvious changes would be its exhaust. As Honda is to beat the Euro 4 emission regs, the company has increased its exhaust volume. The biggest advantage here is that bigger catalysts are a possibility given its larger exhaust.
Plus, there will be room for more sound deadening cambers. This new large exhaust adds a more sporty and aggressive look. Although some of the changes are significant, this new 2017 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade also resembles its predecessor's spirit in some ways or the other.
Most importantly, this new model has similar wheels that feature thin-spoked jobs. Swingarm pivots and engine mounts aren't much changed. Furthermore, the dimensions of engine mounts aren't much changed either.
Weight reduction has also been done as some plastic parts have been used. This has also been said to be helpful in reducing the drag. But one of the most prominent improvements is the use of modern electronics.
One of the company insiders was heard saying, "this new Honda Fireblade has evolved and we are thankful for this." He further added, "Honda has been taking things to a new direction."
Although the improvements presented seem great, will it be good enough to impress passionate racers around the world? This can only be found out as this model gets released into the markets soon.
