Acer announced Orion 9000 PC and X35 curved HDR monitor under its Predator lineup
Boosting its gaming lineup, Acer has announced two new inclusions such as the Predator Orion 9000 PC and the Predator X35 curved monitor to its premium Predator series on the sidelines of IFA 2017 held in Berlin. Significantly enough, the Predator Orion 9000 PC comes attached with a pair of wheels, making it easily portable. On the other hand, the Predator X35 monitor is curved in design and uses HDR as well as the 200Hz refresh rate for a smooth gaming experience.

Last year at IFA, Acer had unveiled a humongous gaming laptop called, the Predator 21 X. It was so huge that for the ease of carrying it, the laptop was bundled inside a wheeled suitcase. And now this year at IFA, Acer launched another ambitious gaming PC. However, it now has a pair of wheels directly attached to it.
Dubbed, the "Predator Orion 9000", the PC despite being hefty is easily portable thanks to its inbuilt wheels. While showing off the PC at the event, Acer's executive Stevan Funcke said, "I don't know if you noticed in the video, but we've actually put wheels on this one! So even though this is a very big chassis, it's even going to be a little bit portable for you."
The chief reason for the Predator Orion 9000 to have become so massive is its powerful internals. The PC has squeezed in an Intel Core i9 Extreme Edition 18-core processor mated to 128GB DDR4 memory and up to 4 Radeon RX Vega cards for graphics. Also, it provides the leeway to choose between two NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti cards meant for VR.
It makes use of proprietary Ice Tunnel 2.0 liquid cooling technology in addition to a liquid cooled CPU to dissipate the rising heat while playing games. The Ice Tunnel 2.0 technology divides the internal into a few thermal zones with each zone having a dedicated airflow tunnel to dispel heat. The Predator Orion 9000 employs five 120mm fans out of which three are on the top and the back.
The connectivity options include two USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports, eight USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, three M.2 slots and four PCIe x16 slots for expansion of video cards. The machine which Acer billed as "the most powerful PC ever made" will be available for purchase from December with a starting price of $2000 (Approx. Rs. 128,340).
Alongside the Predator Orion 9000 gaming PC, Acer also unveiled the Predator X35 curved HDR monitor. Unlike its predecessor, the Predator X34, the Predator X35 comes equipped with HDR as well as 200Hz refresh rate features. The monitor is about 35-inch in size with QHD 1440p resolution. The Predator X35 is armed with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology for seamless gameplay experience with no tearing or visual artifacts. The price of the monitor is yet not set, but as to the availability, it will grace the markets in the first quarter next year.
With the inclusion of the Predator Orion 9000 and the Predator X35, Acer's premium Predator gaming lineup has further become an imposing one. As the war in the gaming arena has been intensifying day by day, we believe that with these two offerings Acer has certainly upped the ante.
